REVIEW OF OUR PRACTICE BOUNDARY
From the 1st May 2017 it has been agreed in conjunction with our Local Health Board (Aneurin Bevan University Health Board) that the surgery will no longer accept registrations from patient’s living in any of the following areas:
-
Treharris
-
Trelewis
-
Quakers Yard
-
Edwardsville
This also still applies to our previous practice boundary review that we no longer accept new patients that live in Bedlinog, Merthyr Vale, Aberfan or Troedyrhiw.
This also includes:
-
Patients that were registered with us before they left for University etc. but have now returned home to a Cwm Taf address. (Quakers Yard, Trelewis, Treharris etc.)
-
Patients that were registered with us before and moved out of Nelson but have recently moved back to a Cwm Taf address, or their previous registered address in the Cwm Taf area.
-
Patients that have changed address to any Cwm Taf area
This includes if you already live in Cwm Taf and have moved address to the house next door - in effect since October 2020.
Please register with a surgery in the Cwm Taf area.
(Cwm Taf is classed as areas under the Merthyr Borough)
With regards to existing patients living in the Cwm Taf area, as your address is historical with us, we will continue to honour your patient registration with us for as long as you should remain living at your current address. However if you move from your current address, (even within the same street) as Cwm Taf areas no longer form part of our official practice boundary, you will be requested by letter to register with another practice in your locality and be removed from our practice register. You will have 30 days to do this. Failure to do this will result in you having no GP after the 30 days expires. It is the patients responsibility to register with another practice.
